WHAT WE DO

Advisory across capital, funding and investment.

Thomas Bümsen Capital Advisory works with companies, financial institutions and investors on financing strategies, capital-raising initiatives and strategic capital and investment-related questions.

Our work combines institutional experience, independent judgement and a cross-border perspective, with particular attention to connecting capital from Western Europe with financing and investment opportunities in Central & Eastern Europe.

01 — CAPITAL & FUNDING ADVISORY

Developing institutional funding solutions.

We advise financial institutions and businesses on funding strategies, capital structures and the development of institutional financing models, including structured finance and cross-border funding arrangements.

Our focus includes the financing needs of banks and businesses in Central & Eastern Europe and the potential of Western European capital markets to address them. We examine how funding structures, institutional investor requirements and capital-market mechanisms can be brought together to create economically viable solutions.

02 — CAPITAL RAISING ADVISORY

Connecting institutional capital with investment opportunities.

We advise on institutional capital-raising strategies, with a focus on investment funds, financing platforms and other structured investment opportunities. Our work includes developing capital propositions, assessing potential institutional investor participation and advising on the preparation of capital-raising initiatives.

A particular area of interest is the allocation of institutional capital from Western Europe into Central & Eastern European markets. We consider the investment objectives, governance requirements and economic constraints of potential capital providers alongside the characteristics of the underlying investment opportunities.

03 — STRATEGIC CAPITAL & INVESTMENT ADVISORY

Exploring new approaches to investing in Central & Eastern Europe.

We advise on the development of innovative investment strategies and models that combine the specific characteristics of Central & Eastern European markets with emerging technological capabilities. Our focus is on identifying opportunities that conventional investment approaches may overlook or struggle to capture.

Advances in artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics create new possibilities for analysing fragmented markets, processing multilingual information and identifying relationships across asset classes and economic regimes. We explore how these capabilities can be translated into differentiated, testable and institutionally viable investment approaches.

WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON

From strategic questions to new approaches.

Our advisory interests are informed by ongoing exploration of how institutional capital, financial-market structures and emerging technologies are evolving across Europe.

Rather than treating these developments in isolation, we examine their practical implications: how capital can reach underserved markets, how financing structures can evolve and how new technologies may enable different approaches to investment.
